As we are now officially less than one month away from the first Indiana Jones film in nineteen years, more and more articles are popping up everywhere across the web.
IESB.net has posted what appears to be the entire press kit for the film. If you hate spoilers as much as Indy hates snakes, you best steer clear as this wealth of behind-the-scenes information includes many tidbits you may wish to save for the darkened theater.
The Los Angeles Times has a story on the financial side of the $185 million production and how it was financed by Paramount with the key players all agreeing to take back end deals. A gamble for the talent, considering the film will have to earn $400 million before Harrison and the gang start seeing some real treasure.
The great TheRaider.net posted pics of the third wave from Hasbro's action figure line up which include the first ever replicas of the Grail Knight, Dr. Elsa Schneider and even a Henry Jones Sr. figure!
Speaking of TheRaider.net, Moving Pictures Magazine challenges all readers of that site to write the best article about Indiana Jones by April 24th. One winner will be selected to receive a check for $250 in exchange for full printing rights being granted as they will print the winning piece in their special issue distributed at the Cannes Film Festival. Finally, Paramount Pictures has confirmed that the running time, rumored to be over 140 minutes at one point, is actually something closer to 120 minutes including the credits, according to TheRaider.net. I take this as bad news, since I would love nothing more for this to film to never end. Ever. I want to keep watching it for the rest of my life. And then twice more.
Okay. I'm calm now. I suppose I'll just have to live with something in the 120 minute range. 29 more days to go before those 120 minutes occur. 29 more days...
