Yes, he's British, but since he appeared in Deadwood, we're going to go ahead and claim Ian McShane as one of our national treasures. Deal with it. Also, deal with the fact that the respected thespian will be playing a dwarf in one of the two upcoming Snow White movies, Snow White and the Huntsman. For those keeping track, that's the Snow White movie with Kristen Stewart as the title character, Chris Hemsworth as a hunky huntsman and Charlize Theron as the evil stepmother.
McShane will be playing Caesar, the leader of the dwarves and the first of those proud diminutive people to be cast. Interestingly, McShane is an average-sized human being that has been cast as a dwarf, while Tom Cruise is reportedly eying the role of a 6 foot 5 inch man. The world's gone topsy-turvy we tell you. Regardless, Snow White and the Huntsman has just become our favorite Snow White movie, based solely on our unreasonable expectation of seeing McShane call Hemsworth a c*cksucker.
