If you weren’t quite sure about Hugh Jackman after his song n’ dance numbers at the Oscars, you better prepare yourself for seeing Wolverine in Real Steel.
In an age of Hot Tub Time Machine, you could be forgiven for thinking that Real Steel is a kitschy, post-Snakes on a Plane attempt at meta movie making. However, there’s nothing in the Variety announcement about this robot boxing picture (!) top imply that they aren't playing it straight. Awesome?
I suppose the question remains if multiple BattleBot heavyweight winner BioHazard be in the picture.
Real Steel is based on a Richard Matheson short story and will be directed by Shawn Levy of Night at the Museum fame. Dreamworks is producing and numerous writers have taken cracks at what will surely by a much re-written script.
