Top 11 Holiday Movies

The only holiday movies worth watching.

Ahh, the holidays. When humans of all races, creeds and colors come together, united by a shared love of eggnog and gifts. No matter what holiday you celebrate in these cold winter months, be it Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanzaa, Ramadan, or whatever bizarre thing the neighbors down the hall are doing with all that cinnamon, there's nothing that brings a family together like sitting down for one of these fine films.

Yes, we know, looking at Macaulay Culkin and thinking about what was happening all of those evenings at Neverland Ranch with Michael Jackson is more than a little creepy. And yes, this movie is more than a little sappy when it tries to pull on the emotional heartstrings. But really, what's scarier to a kid than not being with your family on Christmas? We can't think of much, except perhaps a dog coming out from under your bed with snakes for teeth. But things quickly pick up for young Mac when he has to repel a home invasion by bungling crooks Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern, who he dispatches in a number of painful (if contrived) ways using common household traps. Ah, slapstick. Truly the gift that keeps on giving.
