@JHoffman6: RR is a cool guy.  I want him to like me and drink beer in a can with me.

@misterpatches: Why do you want to drink beer with him? He comes off as more of a tequila body shot man in this trailer.

@JHoffman6: That's a good point @misterpatches.  If I'm worried about anything I am worried about this:  I fear that this film is presenting Hal Jordan as a little too similar to Chris Pine's Jim Kirk or Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark.  I understand that familiarity is important, especially for a first trailer, but the character doesn't feel . . .100% fresh.  And it'll be more so when we get into the dead father issues.

@misterpatches: I think it's the trailer selling you on this movie. Green Lantern is going to be one oddball ride, more Avatar than Iron Man. They have to go with a vibe audiences understand, play it safe. I also think you and I, as Green Lantern fans, have become accustomed to a Hal Jordan who is weathered and broken, but this is fresh Hal - he's got energy. That might be OK here. He'll get kicked down by Sinestro, put in his place.

@misterpatches: Hell, I'm a Ryan Reynolds fan too. I saw Waiting in theaters. I'm on board for whatever he does.
