Glassholes - The Best Moments of People Going Through Glass

The best moments of being pushed or jumping through glass.

One of the most iconic images from the forthcoming Watchmen movie is the Comedian smashing through his apartment window before plummeting to his death. And much like Nick Lowe, we love the sounds of breaking glass.

A person transgressing glass has given us some of the most pleasurable moments in cinema. From the classic one-reel gag of crossing the street holding a window pane (played to its exponential post-modern apex in Peter Bogdonovich's What's Up, Doc?) to some of the most bad-ass fight scenes. So join us as we salute GlassHoles: The Best Moments of People Going Through Glass.

Cathedral Fall in Quantum of Solace

Quantum of Solace was, to put it politely, a disappointment. But much of that is simply because Casino Royale was so great. On its own, QoS has some merit - like having multiple hotties to choose from, another creepy performance by Mathieu Almaric and at least one decent fight sequence. For my money, that sequence is the early one, where the double agent is escaping M15's clutches and 007 takes on after him. As seen toward the end of the trailer, Bond's elbow to the face of his quarry takes them both off a roof and smashing through a glass ceiling. Lucky for them it is a church undergoing renovation and they are able to grab onto a scaffold and continue their fight.
