Jerry Maguire may be about a guy, but there's no way the film that gave us "You complete me" and "You had me at hello" is not a girl film. Like James L. Brooks, Cameron Crowe pretty much only makes chick flicks, but they're almost all girl movies for guys. While most of Crowe's films are about lovable outcast types, Jerry Maguire goes full-on mainstream by making its protagonist a struggling sports agent. Sure, Jerry never holds a stereo up in front of Renee Zellweger's house, but he's also not a stalker.

There's a lot to like about Jerry Maguire even if romance isn't your thing, particularly Cuba Gooding Jr.'s Rod Tidwell, the character who birthed "Show me the money!" unto the world. Weaved throughout all the romance stuff, you also get tons of inside baseball on the wild world of sports. Furthermore, the little kid is cute. I don't care what anyone says.
