Clean drinking water

It may not seem like the appetizing of inventions but during an apocalypse or after it, you will as a human being, need to drink water. Pure water. In Waterworld, the polar ice caps have melted consuming all the dry land and forcing the last remnants of humanity to live of the ocean's surface scrounging to survive and subsist. Ingenuity is a way of life and our hero, The Mariner, has devised a way to produce fresh water ad infinity. Using a pump and lots of tubes, Kevin Costner (The Mariner) recycles his own urine and refines into clean drinking water. If you ever find yourself at the brink of annihilation, or hanging on in a world in the time after, and need water, remember The Mariner and put away your squeamishness.
