The Green Lantern, DC Comic's ring-wearing intergalactic
hero, is getting the big screen treatment via GoldenEye director Martin
Campbell and excitement is building.
Although images of Ryan Reynolds as the Green Lantern have
been elusive, probably due to the reports of his costume being CGI,
one of his foes hasn't been quite as lucky in the mystery department. Thanks to
a reader-supplied image over at Sky's Showbiz, we now know what Peter Sarsgaard's
Hector Hammond makeup will look like.
Hector Hammond is one of Green Latnern's more nefarious villains, and it looks like they've gone all out for his look in the first film. After being exposed to a meteorite's radiation, Hammond's brain grew so rapidly that he needed to strap his head to a chair just to support
it. The plus side? Super-awesome telepathic and telekinetic abilities.
It's interesting that Reynolds's costume may be CGI'd while Sarsgaard's head is being altered prosthetically. I could imagine Reynolds snickering to himself as he carelessly enjoys catered food while Sarsgaard sits in a chair for hours being turned into the big-headed madman.
Take that evil-doers!
