Sure, evil deeds have been committed by men since the dawn of time, but when it's a beautiful lady who chooses to follow the path of darkness, somehow it makes things so much worse hotter. Throughout the history of entertainment, evil women have captivated us, with some of the greatest villains of all time belonging to the fairer sex. In this feature, we perform a survey of film, TV, games and comics to isolate and profile the fifty most wicked women of all time, from slashing serial killers to genocidal space organisms. Kathryn Merteuil
1999's Cruel Intentions is probably the best transformation of an erotic French novel into a teen movie ever. The film's plot is a little too dense to get in here, but what you need to know is that it involves a bunch of good-looking New York teenagers with too much money and too little morals. When the sultry Kathryn Merteuil (played to perfection by a venomously sexy Sarah Michelle Gellar) sets out to destroy the virginal Cecile Caldwell, all hell breaks loose. Merteuil's weapon in this dastardly deed is her stepbrother Sebastian Valmont, who has his own conquest in mind. The two make a wager - if Sebastian can't corrupt his obsession, the prim Annette Hargrove, Kathryn gets his beloved Jaguar. But if he wins, he gets to sleep with his stepsister. Of course, this is all a larger plot by the vicious Kathryn, who orchestrates events until everybody but her loses.
