Top 11 Creepy Kids

Join us as we count down the eleven scariest youngsters in horror history.

Childhood - for some, it's a time of innocence, a sun-soaked reverie of tricycles and hula-hoops, running inside to have some cookies and milk and going to bed confident that the world was safe, comforting and peaceful. For others, it's a non-stop hell ride of trauma and derangement, where the boy next door could be Satan, a ghost, a robot, or just a psychopath. This feature, we're sorry to say, is not about the former. It's time to put aside childish things, and fully embrace the dark side, as we pull back the covers to reveal the monsters on top of the beds. With the forthcoming release of the motion picture Orphan, the latest entry in the creepy-kid sweepstakes, we figured it'd be good to take a look back at the sordid history of evil youth.

Isabelle Tyler, The 4400

USA Network's The 4400 is a misunderstood show. Sadly canceled, it followed the stories of 4400 people abducted from various time periods and deposited back in modern-day Seattle. What could have been a cheesy X-Files knockoff quickly grew into something deeper and weirder. One of the standout characters was young Isabelle Tyler. Not technically one of the 4400, Isabelle was rather the child of Lily Moore, who was returned from her abduction mysteriously pregnant. Baby Isabelle, once born, turned out to be a curly-haired moppet with the ability to kill people with her mind. Yes, before she could even hold her little head up straight she was telepathically persuading people to put shotguns in their mouths and pull the trigger. As she aged, her superhuman powers got even more out of control, until she killed her own mother by draining her life essence. That's just cold, baby. As the youngest entrant on our list at time of first murder, Isabelle gets points for being a diaper-clad demon.
