I'm going to be the guy to not call Michael Moore a douchebag. The man is an entertainer first; a film director that makes playful documentaries about things that some of us on this little planet care a great deal about. The thing is, where someone else would tackle the same material and force out C-SPAN levels of tedious pablum, he takes it, puts it on an angle, and makes it worth watching. Regardless of your political persuasion, your bias, or in some cases, even your intelligence, there is something worth watching in all of his films.
I happen to enjoy all of them a great deal on multiple levels, and I am eagerly awaiting the anger that will probably fill me as I watch Capitalism: A Love Story. I'm also sure I'll be laughing my ass off, and shaking my head at how clueless some people are. Honestly, Michael Moore is much like Borat or Bruno, except that he doesn't use naked men and homophobia to make people squirm, he just uses politics.
