Since I'm in a Zemeckisy-type mood this morning, I realized that I haven't yet gushed over the recent news of the brand new 2-disc DVD version of Back To The Future that's coming out in February. The entire trilogy is getting a DVD re-release, but the original 1985 film is the highlight of the news as it will come with a Bonus Disc that will contain the entire Back To The Future: The Ride, according to the always awesome BTTF.com.
The coolest thing about this is it doesn't end with the extinct ride itself. The bonus disc will contain the entire experience -- from all the short clips you would witness on the monitors above while standing on those two hour lines toward your DeLorean.
"Presented in its entirety, including the "Lobby Monitor" and a combination of the "Pre-Show" and The Ride itself, an accurate representation of the signature theme park attraction is being released officially for the very first time. Featuring an onscreen dashboard of the 8-passenger DeLorean as it travels through time, The Ride is complete with accurate time circuit displays and the onboard monitor in which Doc and Biff communicate with the Institute of Future Technology's time travel volunteers."
