James Franco and Anne Hathaway are determined to give Natalie Portman a run for her money in the "considered for every tentpole movie" category.

According to Bloody Disgusting, the two actors are under consideration to join the Ridley Scott-directed, Damon Lindelof (LOST) prequel to Alien. We previously reported that everyone from Portman to The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo's Noomi Rapace was up for a lead role in the film, so any circling names are just another product churning out of the rumor mill.

But hey, we love a good dose of speculation. We'd love to see Hathaway step up into a Sci-Fi blockbuster (we'll just remove Alice in Wonderland from our memories beforehand), while Franco's involvement doesn't tickle us either way. He can be great fun to watch (Pineapple Express), he's got Oscar cred coming up (127 Hours) and he's lining up action movies every minute (Rise of the Apes), so we're torn if we'd look forward to another new project or if, at this point, he's overexposed.

Only time will tell, but you tell us: do you want to see these two fighting xenomorphs?

Update: This morning at a press junket for 127 Hours, James Franco denied his involvement with the project. We'll see...
