If you had a big dumb grin on your face for the entire 104 minute running time of She's Out of My League, it probably wasn't because of the humor. Alice Eve is pretty. Really, really pretty. How pretty is she? She's So pretty that she may even have caught Captain America's eye.
E Online reports that Eve is the current frontrunner for the female lead in The First Avenger: Captain America, sliding from one Paramount property to another. She would be playing Steve Roger's love interest Peggy Carter, a member of the French resistance that Cap "teams up" with in Europe. Decades later, he finds new love with her sister/niece Sharon Carter (depending on where you place your comic book retcon).
Here's a bit of maybe nothing: E Online refers to the character as Peggy Lee. Maybe their love of jazz got the better of them and it's just a typo, but it could well be that, in order to set up the character of Sharon Carter for a later film, Peggy's last name is getting a maiden swap and, during Rogers' frozen years, she marries a man with the last name Carter. If that is the case, I'm going to further postulate that a future film will retcon Sharon even further and turn her into Peggy's daughter. That's all wild here-say, but you heard it here first.
