Michelle Pfeiffer

Michelle Pfeiffer first worked with Al Pacino in Scarface (1983). Michelle played Elvira Hancock, the doomed love interest of Tony Montana, who did challenge him with, "Can't you stop saying f*** all the time?" Elvira goes from beautiful woman to comatose junkie over the course of the film, yet another casualty in Tony Montana's life as he rises and falls. The scenes with Michelle and Al feature some of the best dialogue in the film, as the insults they throw at each other get more colorful and creative as the years go by.

Michelle Pfeiffer and Al Pacino reunited eight years later to play the title roles in Frankie and Johnny, based on Terrence McNally's stage play. Frankie and Johnny took place a million miles from Miami, as Michelle and Al played a waitress and short-order cook with haunted pasts who find hope for the future. Their verbal quips are amusing rather than vicious this time around, and their romantic scenes touching rather than tragic.
