The Steve Carell comedy Burt Wonderstone follows the actor's magician character as his place is usurped by a younger magic-maker and he struggles to reclaim his love for the dark arts. So, basically The Prestige meets Hooper with that guy from The Dana Carvey Show.
More information about the flick has recently come out as Deadline is reporting that New Line has tapped television veteran Don Scardino to come on as the film's director. Scardino has worked on a number of shows, including Cosby, Tracy Takes On... and Law & Order, but he is probably best known for his time spent on 30 Rock.

Imagine this, but even more magical.
Burt Wonderstone was written by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, who are also the scribes behind the upcoming Horrible Bosses. No word yet, on who will play the younger rival magician, but if they want to take a lesson from Hooper (and really, who couldn't take a lesson or two from Hooper?), Jan-Michael Vincent is probably available. Unless there's an Airwolf convention coming up that is.
