Tarantino's films are completely soundtracked by pre-existing musical cues, even including themes and scores from films of yesteryear.
For a prickly sequence in which Elle Driver prepares to inject The Bride with a deadly concoction, Tarantino has his one-eyed nurse whistle the theme from Twisted Nerve, a 1968 psychological thriller orchestrated by the great Bernard Herrmann -- and will forever be known by young people as the "that Kill Bill song."
