A closed beta for World of Warcraft: Cataclysm may begin soon, according to representatives from Blizzard Entertainment.
According to an email received this morning by 1UP, Blizzard is "starting to gear up" for the beta program, and is currently sending invitations to members of the videogame press.
While the email is careful to note that no specific launch date for the beta has been announced, Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime remarked in February that the game would be released during the 2010 calendar year, so we anticipate that this closed beta should be underway soon.
