What's the game about? Tatsunoko vs. Capcom highlights one of the things Capcom does best: taking diverse properties and mashing them up within a fighter. Mega Man takes on Yatterman, and Ryu takes on Tekkaman Blade in the latest iteration of a series that includes the popular Marvel vs. Capcom.

Western fans might not recognize Tekkaman Blade or Yatterman, but they'll almost certainly know Ryu, Mega Man, and maybe even Dead Rising protagonist Frank West, who is a brand new character exclusive to the Western release. Tatsunoko vs. Capcom is a Wii exclusive, and it should be out in North America early next year.

Frank's response? "That's hilarious!"

What's our take? As usual, Capcom has done a great job of taking a unique character and turning them into a valid addition to their Versus roster. While Frank West isn't an entirely outlandish choice, it was difficult to imagine how exactly he would fight -- but when I finally do get a handle on him, he feels like a natural part of the team.

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom continues to look terrific on the Wii, with some quality cel-shading enhancing the already excellent 3D visuals. Frank's 3D model is a bit rougher than the rest of the cast, but it's still frankly a vast improvement over his model in Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop. Dead Rising 2 may be featuring a new protagonist, but it seems as if Frank is perfectly at home in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom.
