2069 is a future that looks better than it is. The world is divided up into mega-corporations, and everyone is "Chip'd." These chips gain them access to the internet, bank accounts and entertainment. The corporations provide them with free housing, medical care and education. In return, they are given complete access into the minds of their subjects. It's not hard to see where things can go wrong. You play the role of Miles Kilo, an agent who enforces the law for Eurocorp. But events transpire that force you to break the laws you're supposed to enforce.
