Ubisoft's upcoming movie tie-in, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, picked up an official release date this morning. Fans will be able to wall-run their way through the game starting on May 18 -- just over a week before Jake Gyllenhaal takes to the big screen in Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.
Forgotten Sands is expected to arrive simultaneously on PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, PSP, and DS next month, but Ubisoft emphasized the uniqueness of the Wii version in today's announcement. Developed by Ubisoft's Quebec City studio, the Wii release will apparently deliver a totally different experience from the game on other platforms, and not just because of the motion controls. The developers peg the Wii game at about 15 hours to complete, and they promise "a smooth, clear, and impressive graphical experience on Wii."
How good, exactly, will this thing look on Nintendo's console? Check out our newest screens of Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands on the Wii and decide for yourself.
