One of the best parts about being an adult is conceiving
arbitrary reasons to drink. Just got a new job? Drink! Just lost your job?
Drink! Just worked a day and can't face the cold reality stretching out for the
rest of your existence? Drink!
That's why drinking games are so fun: you get to take
something familiar and create rules that let you get drunk fast. And since we
all love alcohol videogames so much, we thought
we'd make up some drinking rules for one of our favorite new games, Heavy Rain.
(NOTE: UGO isn't responsible for any sickness or injury you
cause yourself after getting wasted. If you're under 21, we're telling you to
not drink in a transparent effort to cover our butts from getting sued by your
parents.)
Take A Shot Every
Time:
- A child has a creepy European accent.
- Ethan's son is an asshole.
- You fail a simple, everyday action such as opening a door or washing your hands.
- A character with no money has an incredible apartment.
- Norman's sungalsses surpass any possible technology that could come out in 2011, the year the game takes place.
- The loading screen makes you uncomfortable.
Take Two Shots
Every Time:
- Someone mispronounces "origami."
- A character can't remember where his wallet is.
- Ethan blacks out as an impossibly obvious red herring.
- Shelby gets yelled at by the parent of a victim and then is immediately forgiven.
- Two characters stare past each other while talking.
Finish The Bottle
Every Time:
- The drama is sucked out of a scene as your character makes the Herculean effort to turn around and face the person speaking.
- The Origami Killer sounds like he was created by a teenager
writing "Saw" fan-fiction.
Call Your Ex And
Apologize For All The Lies, All The Hurt When:
- You realize this is just a new version of the crappy Full Motion Video "interactive movie" games from the early 1990s.
