It may be the scourge of the industry, but Metacritic's has its uses. Namely, comparing the number of highly rated titles (duh). As of this post, the Nintendo DS's top dog is GTA: Chinatown Wars, which - as you'll see in the video above - Rockstar is porting over to the PSP. That's a big deal according to Metacritic, since GTA: Chinatown Wars DS has a 93%, 2-points higher than the PSP's top of the list, God of War: Chains of Olympus with its nothing to blush at 91%.
But is it a big deal to you? Something Metacritic can't judge is how a certain system benefits a particular game. Much of GTA: Chinatown Wars' hype was laid at the stoop of the all-might touch-screen. On the flip side, the PSP offers a large screen - if only one screen. And it has the benefit of improved graphics. What do you think, will it have the power to dethrone Kratos?
