I don't mind EA pillaging some hallowed text for the good bits and piecing them all together to make a game (and subsequently lots of money). That's their prerogative. But Dante's tagline - Go To Hell- is so schmaltzy it hurts. I mean, this game begs for punny headlines. This pun, however, is a real groaner. I'm not guffawing EA. I'm not even knee-slapping.
Here are some alternative taglines I've cooked up:
Thou shall not covet thy neighbor's scythe.
This winter will be extravagant
Hell hath no fury like the wrath of a poet.
Ok, harder than I thought. That said, I think Dante's Inferno looks as pretty as a game can look when it includes unbaptized fetuses and poop monsters. Gander on.
