Radtke: One of the things you guys do well is give roles to older gentlemen. Where do you find your never ending supply of older men?

Eric: We have amazing producers that act as our casting agents. They know how to go deep into the well of Hollywood and find these guys. Tim and I have always been obsessed with the idea of dads and old men and us kind of living in a world where there’s lots of dads and old men.

Tim: I think there’s probably a lot of people here in Hollywood that, maybe 3 to 5 years ago, they did a head shot and put it up on a casting website and then sort of went back to their regular life and have been sort of sitting in an archive online. Our guys mine and find these people that might have forgotten that they had these ambitions.

Radtke: It’s amazing. I was watching again last night and thinking, “It’s a never ending stream of these guys.” In terms of the direction you give these guys, do they play along because they’re desperate actors or do they have a good sense of humor about things?

Eric: 50% of show works because these actors don’t know that they’re in a comedy. Every commercial we do is presented as a serious product. Then the other 50% is they’re good actors. We say, “You really need to sell this thing called 'Man Nip' that excites an old man." That’s all part of the way the show works, these stupid things are presented in the most serious fashion.

Tim: We also move so quickly that we don’t let anything stick around long enough for anything to set in. It’s usually like, "OK, we got it let’s move on."
