The HDB lift door opening measures roughly 90cm wide and sets the actual limit for moving heavy items inside. Standard HDB doors measure about 91.5cm, so the corridor turn usually determines success more than the doorway itself. Leave a 2–5cm buffer between the frame edges and walls to prevent scratching on the way through. If the platform bed arrives disassembled, these tight turns don't become as difficult to handle.
Queen bed frames measure approximately 152cm by 190cm and fit most HDB or BTO master bedrooms without squeezing the space. Leave around 60cm clearance on the exit side for comfortable movement and cleaning access. A standard Queen also fits comfortably within the typical 12 sqm HDB common bedroom if the wardrobe is placed strategically. Larger King frames often block the balcony doorway in the process.
