People say the art of Polishposters is dying. I
100percent disagree.
It’s just changing. Perhaps
theyarenowbeingdesigned for thewebmore– I
recentlydesigned
JungleBook
posters forFacebook,
depicting the lawsof the jungle. Postersdon’t justhave
tobe in the street anymore.
I fightwith the styleofmoderngraphicdesign
asmuch as I can.
I advisegraphicdesign students to
forget about their laptopsand fonts, togoanduse their
imagination, and tobea rebel.That said, theposter is
not an illustration, instead it’saboutpushingan ideaor
subject. Sometimes if aposter illustration is toogood
you lose themeaningof it.
I was brought up talking about posters, living
with them andhaving lots of books on them.

was tobeexhibitedat thePosterBiennale inWarsaw. I
was rejected threeoutof four times;when I finally saw
mypostershangingon thewall, itwas likewinning the
Nobel Prize.
