In1868,masterconfectionerFrederickStühmerdecided to introduce
thewonderfulworldofqualitychocolates to theHungarians.Evenhe
didnotbelieve thathispassion formakingchocolatewouldbear fruit,
despite theenormousenergy thatheput into theproject.
FrederickStühmerdideverythingpossible toensurehis factory
producedonly top-qualityproducts.Hisfactorywasthefirstand
largestconfectioneryfacility inHungary,equippedwiththe latestmodern
confectionerymachines.Heusedthemostup-to-datetechniquesand
commissionedthemostfamousartists
anddesignersofhisagetocreatethe
productpackaging.
Heestablishedseveral shops,
andStühmerchocolateswere
availablenotonly inHungarybut in
ParisandAbbaziaaswell.
Any lingeringdoubtsabout the
scopeandmagnitudeofStühmer’s
achievementswereput tobedwhen
hereceived thebiggest recognition
of the time:becoming theOfficial
Imperial Supplier.Hisworkbecamehis
life, and thiscouldbe felt ineverysingle
Stühmerproduct. Stühmer’s legacy
is continued todayby theStühmer
chocolatecompany, and thepassion that
was the trademarkof hiswork still canbe found inStühmer’s
current products, from thechocolatesanddesserts to thecoffee
andDutchwaffles.
