operatic stage. Hamar, where Flagstad
was born, is now the location of the festival as
well as amuseumdevoted toher.
Flagstad is known as ‘TheVoice of theCentury’
and it is the voice that is at the centre of the
festival.This year’s theme is ‘LatinAmerica’and
leading Scandinavian singers and a Norwegian
world famous bandoneonist will perform
classicalmusic in a latino atmosphere.
