hen Studio 54 founder Ian Schrager planted his
boutique hotel flag in South Beach with the 1992
opening of the Delano, he changed the landscape
of all of Miami, transforming it from a glorified retirement
community into the hotbed of the hip, young, and modish
it is today. Last winter, he moved his effortlessly elegant
vibe 12 blocks uptown to the burgeoningMid-Beach district,
where he turned a shuttered 1955Miami Modern gem, the
Seville Hotel, into this outpost of his growing Edition brand.

flourishes, including the lobby’swhite Carraramarble floors,

Editionartisanal foodhall.Downstairs, thebuzzyBasement—with
its bowlingalley, nightclub, and indoor ice rink—feels abit like
Studio54 for thePeterPan, I-won’t-grow-up set.
