. On behalf of Bangkok Airways,
Asia’s Boutique Airline, I’m delighted
to wish you all a very Happy New
Year, one of success. Last year, which
marked Bangkok Airways’ 45th anniversary, we
celebrated our happiness with special events and
privileges for our beloved passengers. Highlights
included a 45th Anniversary Concert; Samui
Airport’s 24th Anniversary Party; a THB45 fare
promotion for 45 lucky passengers and a free
Lexus car campaign. It was a great pleasure to
share these moments of happiness with you. We
would like to announce that Bangkok Airways
once again won a Skytrax World Airline Award,
placing 3rd in the category of World’s Best
Regional Airline Asia 2013. The awards were
handed out based on votes by over 180 million
airline passengers of 160 different nationalities.
Also, Samui Airport was named as one of the
World’s Top 10 Best Airports for the eighth consecutive year, while
Bangkok Airways was ranked in the top 10 in the category of “Best
Cabin Service Worldwide”. Our staff, and myself, would like to take
this opportunity to thank every passenger for your trust and support.
Last year, we also added new domestic routes, including Bangkok-Krabi,
Samui-Chiang Mai and Bangkok-Udon Thani. And we also launched
new flights to two key cities in Myanmar: Mandalay and Nay Pyi
Taw. In March, our route map will grow yet again with the addition of
Chiang Rai, Thailand’s northernmost city, famous for its rich culture and
breathtaking scenery. There are even more new routes and exciting events
ahead and we’ll keep you updated throughout the year. Lastly, on behalf
of Bangkok Airways executives and staff, I wish you all the very best for
2014. We look forward to serving you on board again this year.
