Our Dolphin & Island Tours take approximately 3 hours. Seasonal departure times will vary. The dock is currently empty at 9:00 a.m., and 12:30.
We often see manatees. Manatees may occasionally be found in the waters near you, but we only practice passive observation.
For your private 2 hour dolphin tour, we will reserve the vessel for your family or group. Coast Guard regulations allow 6 people, which includes children.
You will enter the water before the dolphins arrive. In this manner, the dolphins will get curious and instead of swimming away, they’ll be drawn towards us. The dolphins can be finicky and the more we "pretend" they are not there, the more curious they become.
We had a wonderful experience. The captain was an amazing captain. Even showed us a jellyfish type that doesn’t sting. We stopped at a beach with lots of shells. All had a great experience and will certainly return.
Our boats are actual dive boats so the children will love finding and seeing the dolphins and having the opportunity to snorkel in the water just like a real SCUBA diver.
The water is home to a variety of birds. There are raptors like bald and ospreys. There are also shorebirds like great blu egrets. And there are seabirds like majestic frigatebirds. Sometimes we see deer.
Additionally, we often see manatees. If conditions allow, you may enter the water near manatees, but we practice passive observation and never approach them.
Private dolphin tours last 2 hours. The captain will reserve the boat exclusively for your family/group. Coast Guard regulations limit the number of passengers to 6, which includes infants and small children.
Your trip aboard the super-fast boats, specially designed to find and visit with dolphins, will take you along Panama City's native pod of wild bottle-nosed Dolphins. Blue Dolphin Tours can only carry 6 people on some boats, and 7-15 passengers on other boats (children of any age included). Shells and Sand Dollars are found on Shell Island. Enjoy snorkeling in the flats of seagrass and exploring St. Andrews Bay, Florida and the Gulf of Mexico.
