Dolphin And Snorkel Tours Key WestOur Carolina Skiffs (21-foot) and 23-foot Carolina Skiffs (23-foot) are comfortable, stable and safe for dolphin and island tours. These boats feature a central console design to maximize space and allow easy movement around the boat. A fully cushioned forward deck allows for observation (and lounging), and comfortable seats for the whole group. Large bimini tops provide shade and ice chest space.
You can rent a pontoonboat to be your guide for the day. Pontoon boats are available to rent for those who want to own their boat. The Map includes directions to the most popular snorkeling areas, sandbars, common dolphin zones, and more.
What a great day! For 1/2 day, I took my son (22 years old) and his friends. The pontoon boat and day were amazing. Rob was fantastic and everyone had a great time.
Out of the water, you’ll see a huge variety of birds, ranging from raptors like bald eagles and ospreys, to shorebirds like great blue herons and egrets, to seabirds like magnificent frigatebirds and terns. We also sometimes see deer on the island.
We will bring you as close to dolphins and as safe as possible. The dolphins will decide how close or far they want to be able to interact with them. We practice passive observation, which simply means we let the dolphins approach us. Our dolphins in St. Andrews Bay can be extremely playful and interactive. Many of our guests have memorable encounters with them.
Your excursion will take you to Panama City Pass. You'll also explore the area where St. Andrews Bay merges with the Gulf of Mexico. We will show how to get into the water and view dolphins up close.
Explore some of the most remote beaches and snorkeling spots in Florida. Mexico Beach and Port St. Joe are the best places to start your adventure.
Captain Jack placed us exactly at the right moment to see the dolphins swim underneath our feet. It was an unforgettable experience.
Gabby's Dolphin Tours PCB's captains have years of experience in spotting and interpreting the behavior and movements of dolphins. We will keep the boat in a safe place and tell you when to enter the water so that you can get closer to the dolphins and mix with them.
In addition to observing dolphins, our dolphin and island tours visit beautiful Shell Island. Here we can explore the beach, hunt for shells, wade, swim, and, if conditions allow, snorkel in the crystal clear protected waters and observe a wide variety of marine life.
Manatees are also often seen in the water. You may be allowed to swim near manatees if the conditions are right, but we always observe them passively and avoid getting close.
Our friendly, local captains have decades of experience on these waters and a wealth of knowledge about the area’s dolphins, manatees, and other marine life. They are always happy to customize your trip and love showing you the natural beauty of this unique place.
Snorkeling is a fun and easy activity for people of all ages. One of the best things about Shell Island is that the calm shallow water behind the jetty is ideal for first-time snorkelers.
When is the Best Time to Visit Florida to See Dolphins? The best time to see dolphins is from late May to early August. You're most likely to see them between 10 a.m. and noon, and then again between 2 p.m. and dark.
