The Essential Studio® File Manager SDK provides a powerful solution to manage files and folders through a web browser. It supports only web platforms.

  • File Management
    • Supported operations – Upload, download, delete, sort, rename, copy and move files.
    • Navigation – Hierarchical folder navigation with breadcrumb.
    • Search – Built-in file/folder search capability.
    • File preview – Supports preview for video and image files.
    • Upload – Provides APIs with options to control file uploads.
    • Download – Download files/folders.
  • Access control – Manage permissions via server-side APIs.
  • Clipboard – Cut, copy, and paste support via context menu.
  • User interface
    • Toolbar – Provides buttons for common file operations.
    • Context menu – Provides access to operations based on the targets such as file, folder (including navigation pane folders), and layout (empty area in view).
    • View modes – Supports two view types for files and folders: Large Icons and Details view.
  • Drag and drop – Move files and folders easily within the file system.
  • Virtualization – Allows for the dynamic loading of a large number of directories and files
