Do I need to set up a Deep Security Relay?

No, unless you have special requirements you can use the Deep Security Relay provided by Deep Security as a Service (DSaaS).

Most customers will be able to use Trend Micro’s Relay infrastructure and will not need to set up their own Relays. Only customers whose networks do not have direct internet access, or need to go through a proxy to get to the internet, will need to set up their own relay.

By default, your Deep Security Agents will use the Deep Security Relays set up and operated by Trend Micro. These relays are in a relay group called the "Primary Tenant Relay Group".

To connect your protected instances with DSaaS Relays in the Primary Tenant Relay Group, make sure your instances have an outbound connection open on port 443 to IP range: 54.221.196.0/24
