Beginning the journey to recovery after any amount of time with an opioid addiction is an immense challenge. As you battle with your own mind and body against urges, it can be easy to lose sight of the end goal. When opioids are taken away, we as humans can go into a full-blown panic because our minds and bodies have become used to having opioids as a means for survival. The reality is, we don’t need them.
