North Pane Detail

The north pane of the Asset Tracking Dashboard contains overview information at the Client and/or Site level and the information this displays is dependent on the selection in the left menu, whether computers or assets (for example Other Network Devices [deprecated] or Software and Hardware items].

The Asset Tracking Dashboard and associated Reports will show the hostname of the device rather than the Monitoring and Management device name that may have been assigned when installing the Advanced Monitoring Agent in server mode.

Computers

Where a computer item is selected in the left menu (Servers, Workstations or Laptops) the north Pane returns basic overview information on each discovered device. More detailed information on any device is available in its south pane.

Operating System	Windows | Linux | Mac
Edit	The pencil icon indicates whether any changes were detected between scans
Chassis Type	The chassis type reported by the scan. This icon is updated if the device's role is changed in its Summary tab.
Name	The hostname of the device - rather than the Monitoring and Management device name that may have been assigned when installing the Advanced Monitoring Agent in server mode
Username	The username of the logged on user at the time of the last scan (or Primary Username where no one was logged on)
O/S	Name and version of the Operating System
Service Pack	The Operating System's current Service Pack number (if available).
Role	The role assigned to the device and configurable in the device's Summary tab.
IP	Device network IP address
RAM	Reported RAM installed on the device
Last Modified	The date and time of the last asset information upload - when a change was detected on the device

Assets

Where a software, hardware or Other Network Devices [deprecated] items is selected the north pane displays the item Name and a Count of the number of instances where it was discovered. Clicking on the asset Name in the north Pane opens the Computer view filtered to display only those devices meeting this asset criteria. Click the back arrow above the north Pane to return to the asset view.

In the below example the Processor asset is selected:

When clicking on Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3570 CPU @ 3.40GHz in the north pane the computers with this processor are displayed. Clicking the arrow above the north pane returns to the previous asset view.
