Why has my website visitors and profits fallen?
Google has declared war on spammers and bad websites that do not provide unique good quality information. It is fed up with people trying to spam the system by using too many keyword search terms to try and get a good position in the Google search result pages (SERP).

When "black hat" SEO companies learnt that having a lot of links from other websites to your website helps increase its position in the search engine result page, a new industry was born. They employed staff in the 3rd world to create hundreds of bogus websites all with links pointing to their customers online business website front page. This was called link farming. Because of the changes Google introduced these companies are now in trouble.
Google has released two major updates that have rocked the business website owner's world. Some companies have seen their sales nose dive because people can no longer find them on Google. Where as before the changes they were on the first page of Google's search engine result page for a particular keyword search term they are now on page twenty five where no one looks. The main reason for this is that they did not follow Google's new rules and used banned "black hat" techniques.
Many companies and website owners were very upset at what Google did. They only had themselves to blame for employing dodgy SEO companies who's promises seemed too go to be true. They used short cuts that worked for a short while but in the long run has caused them very big problems that has hit their income stream. What many people do not realize is that Google does not care about your website. Yes that statement is a shock to quite a few people. What Google really cares about are the people who use their search engine and providing them with the best results they can.
If you aim at giving visitors to your site a better experience and stop trying to fiddle the system you are already on the way to getting a better position on Google's search engine result pages.
