Increasing Students' Mathematical Success and Joy via Ten Equitable Teaching Strategies
Description
This workshop focuses on strategies that have been known to help students enjoy and succeed in mathematics. Vignettes, video clips, and student responses to problems situated in a variety of contexts will be examined. Ten equitable teaching strategies, such as using multiple entry tasks and students' mathematics autobiographies will be explored.
