History: The date of the original structure is not known. It was a small, 1-story, rectangle building, barely visible today as the center section of this house. A sailor by the name of Gilbert planted the pear and apple trees. This may be the oldest orchard on the island.

Description: Remodeled Vernacular Farmhouse. Wood frame set on concrete foundation; cross-shape (38’ x 23’); 1-story.
