History: Stella Muzzall contracted Mr. Bartholomew from Everett, Washington to build this residence. The materials were shipped to Monroe’s landing and brought to the site for construction. Stella lived here until her son Lyle and his family moved in, remaining here until c. 1921. Lyle and his brother Courtland ran the Muzzall Brothers Farm on the property, raising chickens, dairy cows, hay and other commodities. When the partnership dissolved, Courtland Muzzall lived in the house which in turn, was occupied by his daughter Stella and her husband. The home sold to his daughter Stella and her husband, and then sold to Lyle Muzzall’s son Bob A 260 year old elm tree on the site came from Michigan with Bob’s Grandparents.
