History: H.B. Lovejoy built this house for E.E. Watson in 1886. Watson held county offices before leaving Coupeville in 1904. The house was sold to the Vradenburgs and it remained in that family until 1948. The addition on the west façade was constructed in 1970 but is of similar style and scale as the original structure and a new garage was built in 1989 to match the house. Many of the decorative elements on the building were salvaged from a home at Prairie Center and applied to the house when the remodeling was completed. This house has had a variety of owners in the past few years.
Description: Second Empire Residence. Wood frame set on concrete/concrete block foundation; L-shape; 2-stories; shiplap siding; wood-shingled mansard roof with pedimented gable roof dormers; corbelled center chimney.
