History: Built c. 1890, this house was owned for a time by Captain Clapp. There were several occupants during the early 20th century. In 1942, the Ghormley’s purchased the house from the Lovejoy family. The Ghormley’s installed indoor plumbing, extended the kitchen and bathroom on the south façade, and covered the original siding with composition siding. The bathtub was salvaged from the Old Central Hotel.

Description: Vernacular Residence. Wood frame set on Concrete foundation; square with 1-story hip roof addition on south façade; 3 bays wide; 1-story; asphalt siding; asphalt-shingled hip roof; exterior end chimney on west façade.
