History: Constructed c. 1880, this structure was originally located at the site of the high school at Prairie Center . It served as the parsonage when the Methodist Church was located at Prairie Center . The house was sold by the church in 1885 and remained a private residence until 1912 when it was sold to the school district. It was used as housing for teachers for many years. In the 1950’s, the house was sold to Mr. Stark who moved it to its present location in Coupeville.

Description: Vernacular Farmhouse. Wood frame set on post and block foundation; rectangle; 1 ½-stories; wood shingle siding; asphalt-shingled gable roof; center chimney. Exterior features include 1/1 double-hung sash with plain surrounds; multi-pane fixed sash with plain surrounds; 1-story hip roof bay with 4/4 double-hung sash; pedimented portico supported by chamfered posts on south façade.
