History: This structure originally was a small house built by Thomas Griffith in 1869. The front portion was constructed later and rented while Griffith lived in the rear of the structure. The extension to the south was a kitchen, wood shed and buggy barn. Owners rebuilt the extension in 1962 following the original design. The addition on the east façade was built in 1978

Description: Saltbox Residence. Wood frame set on post and block/brick foundation; irregular; 3 bays wide; 1 ½-stories; shiplap siding; wood-shingled sloping gable roof; exterior chimney on east façade. Exterior features include 6/6 double-hung sash with cornice; multi-pane fixed sash; wood shutters; landing across north façade with side stairs and plain wood railing; 1-story gable roof extension on south façade connecting to gable roof; 2 door garage; 1-story gable roof addition on east façade.
