History: The Post Office building was constructed in 1938 by local contractor Ralph Ward at a cost of $2,400. The building was owned by Assistant Postmaster Bob Cushen. The Post Office occupied this building until 1956 when it moved to Main Street, next to Town Hall.
Description: Commercial with Modern elements. Cement block frame set on concrete foundation; rectangle; 2 bays wide; 1-story; cement block; flat roof with decorative parapet on north façade. Exterior features include multi-pane hinged sash; flat overhang with rounded corners above entrance; rounded corners on building. The concrete block was covered with siding during the filming of "Practical Magic."
