History: This house was built c. 1890 for the Benson family. Bob Black was the next owner of the house. In the mid-1930’s it was sold to Sergeant Bunting, a retired army sergeant. The Buntings resided in the house until the 1950’s. The house remains similar to its original appearance although the window panes and door have been replaced and a concrete block foundation installed. In the 1980’s it was owned by the Dole Family.

Description: Vernacular Farmhouse. Wood frame set on concrete block foundation; L-shape with shed roof addition on east façade; 3 bays wide; 1 1/2 stories; shiplap siding with diamond-cut wood shingles on gable ends, clapboard siding on addition; asphalt-shingled gable roof; off-center interior chimney on north façade.
