History: The house was built for Chansey House. The Nichols purchased the house in 1915. The asbestos siding was installed in 1945 and the first floor windows replaced in the 1950’s. Alberta Bennett purchased the house in 1965 and since that time the roof has been replaced, new wiring installed, the wood porches replaced with concrete landings and the trim painted.

Description: Vernacular Farmhouse with Queen Anne elements. Wood frame set on post and block foundation; 1-story, hip-roofed addition on the west façade; 4 bays wide; 2-stories; asphalt siding; wood-shingled gable roof; interior off-center chimney. Exterior features include multi-pane fixed sash; 1/1 double-hung sash with plain surrounds; 1-story bay on east façade.
