History: Horace Holbrook was a local carpenter and shipbuilder who built this house in 1895. One of the board and batten outbuildings on the site was used by Holbrook as a boat building shop. Additions were made to the structure over the next few years with a second floor added over the kitchen area. Few changes have been made to the structure with the exception of modernization of the interior.

Description: Vernacular Farmhouse. Wood frame set on post and pier foundation; 1 ½ stories; clapboard siding; wood-shingled gable roof; interior chimney on west façade.
